As Marketing Manager at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, I led strategic marketing, digital transformation, and creative initiatives to drive patient flow, provider growth, and community engagement in a rural healthcare setting. Working cross-functionally across departments, I implemented solutions to streamline operations, enhance patient experience, and position the hospital as a desirable workplace.

Key Achievements:

  • Accelerated Provider Marketing: Built an onboarding-focused marketing system that increased patient flow and provider visibility early in their tenure, creating a repeatable model for growth.
  • Enhanced Digital Experience: Managed and optimized the hospital website, ensuring it remained an accessible, trusted resource for the community.
  • Online Scheduling System: Implemented a digital appointment scheduling process, freeing up front desk staff time while simplifying patient booking and increasing satisfaction.
  • Secured OB Funding: Developed and designed funding presentations that helped secure a multi-million dollar grant, enabling the reopening of OB services—a vital win for local families.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME): Delivered a CME session on AI in healthcare, equipping providers with knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance patient care and decision-making.

Creative & Branding Impact:

  • Videography & Social Ads: Introduced high-quality videography to the hospital’s social media, elevating community engagement and improving public perception. Designed visual assets and managed Meta ads to expand reach and patient acquisition.
  • Rebranding for Recruitment: Co-led a rebranding initiative to combat the perception of Ridgecrest as an undesirable rural location, reframing the area as “near the outdoors.” This successfully attracted providers who valued work-life balance, improving recruitment and retention.
  • Interior Wayfinding System: Designed, manufactured, and installed an updated interior wayfinding system, improving facility navigation and accessibility for patients and visitors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Worked closely with hospital departments to create tailored marketing strategies, aligning service-line goals with hospital growth initiatives.

Navigating Challenges:

  • HIPAA Compliance: Due to privacy restrictions limiting data collection, I developed a system of internal check-ins and department touchpoints to track the impact of marketing efforts without violating regulations.

Mentorship & Growth:

Under the mentorship of Ziad Jureidini (Director of Strategy), my analytical skills and strategic mindset evolved significantly. I learned to separate personal preferences from business needs, prioritize precision and clarity, and understand the power of human connection—both internally and with patients.

This role shifted my perspective on marketing: from purely digital tactics to the understanding that empathy and genuine connection drive real results in healthcare.
